New Windows 11 February Update – Android Apps, New Media Player, Notepad, Taskbar Changes, and more

In this article, we will talk about the new features that Microsoft will introduce in February on the Main Release gradually to all Windows 11 Users.

Big news from Microsoft as they announce that they will start releasing new features and updates separately from the Main Updates that will be release usually twice every year.

New features in Windows 11 from February

Microsoft is introducing the Android Apps support officially on the Main Release, with the help of Amazon Appstore and the Windows Subsystem for Android. The Amazon Appstore will only be available in US for now and will be limited to 50 apps and games.

Taskbar changes will come to Windows 11 as they introduce the new Mute/Unmute buttons for Microsoft Teams and also the Share Screen button.

Starting February you will also be able to see the new Weather Info on the left of the taskbar, which is basically a short entry point for the Widgets section in Windows 11.

Clock and Date are also coming to Secondary Monitors, which was a highly requested feature that was removed from Windows 11.

New Media Player and Notepad are coming to the Main Release with a new design and Dark Mode support for Notepad.
