In this article, I will show you How to Enable New Search and Start Menu Experience in Windows 11 25252.
Microsoft is continuing to improve the Search Box from the Taskbar and in this Build, they added another Search Box that can be typed in. The Search Box is basically moved to the taskbar and removed from the Search Menu. Now, also using the Search in the Start Menu, will have some nice animation that will transition to the Search Section. In this article, I will show you how to enable that.
You will need to download ViveTool, which is a small app that will help us enable hidden features from Windows.
After you download ViveTool, you will need to extract the contents of the archive into the System32 location so that we can have full administrative privileges to the operating system.
Right-click on the archive and then click on Extract all. Select the System32 location and then click on Extract. You will also need to provide some administrative privileges.
After you’ve done that, you will need to open CMD as administrator and then copy and paste the following commands:
vivetool /enable /id:40887771
This is the core ID and is all you need if you want just the new search button visuals. It is required for the other IDs to work.
vivetool /enable /id:41415839
This ID can be enabled to get search highlights.
vivetool /enable /id:38937525
This is the New Start Menu Experience which is the buggiest of the 3 new features.
After you run this command, you will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
After the restart, you will be able to notice the New Search and Start Menu Experience.
In the Search Box, you will be able to now type and get live suggestions.
Now, also using the Search in the Start Menu, will have some nice animation that will transition to the Search Section.
Much like its previous iteration, when clicked it won’t auto open the search UI. There are some neat new animations for transitioning between the start menu and this new ‘Start search UI’. pic.twitter.com/rf0fTYqeie

In addition to that, you have 4 different options regarding the Search Button. If you right-click the Taskbar and click on Taskbar Settings, you will have a dropdown with 4 different options.
These options will help users with different views over the Search Button to have a nice experience.
