In this article, we will talk about the New Modern Run Dialog that is Coming to Windows 11 25H2.
One of the many parts of Windows 11 that still haven’t been updated in years is the Run Dialog in Windows 11. Well that’s just about to change, as Microsoft has some new bits hidden in the latest Server Builds that showcase a New Modern Run Box.
This has been spotted by PhantomOfEarth on Twitter and the New Run Box uses WinUI 3.
By default, the Old Run Box will still be present in the system, but you can replace it with the new one, from the Advanced Settings Section.
It also looks very good in Dark Mode, and it is larger, it contains New Icons and a History Section that has all the previous commands you run inside the Run Box.
The bits are only present in the Server Builds at the moment, but we may get some previews in the Newest Build for the Dev and Beta Channels of the Windows Insider Program.
