Microsoft is starting on the path of finding the balance between having AI Features in the system and bloating the OS, following the recent news.
In a recent Notepad App Update for the Insider Channels, Microsoft has completely removed the Copilot Branding. Altough you can still have access to the AI Features Copilot provides, the Copilot naming has been removed both in the main interface of Notepad and in the Settings Section.
In a recent Paint App for Insiders, Microsoft has added an option to apply a Watermark on AI Generated Images.
These changes that were applied by Microsoft in these recent Updates tell us that they are committed to listening to user feedback and working on this path.
