In the latest Build for the Dev Channel, Microsoft is adding some new Features that are slowly rolling out such as a New Shared files in File Explorer Home, Jump lists for pinned Start menu apps, Simplified system tray with shortened time/date and hidden notification icon by default, Share files from Windows Search, Detach VHD button in Settings, Fonts Control Panel redirected to Settings and Wi-Fi password dialog with updated design. In this article, I will show you how to enable those features.

Download ViveTool from Github

You will need to download ViveTool, which is a small app that will help us enable hidden features from Windows.

After you download ViveTool, you will need to extract the contents of the archive into a folder of your choice.

Right-click on the archive and then click on Extract all. Select Your Folder and then click on Extract. You will also need to provide some administrative privileges.

After you’ve done that, you will need to open CMD as administrator. Type the following command in CMD:

cd "your-location"

Then copy and paste the following commands:

IDs Required for All Features:

vivetool /enable /id:48433719,50564196

Enable New Shared files in File Explorer Home:

vivetool /enable /id:45130483

Enable New Jump lists for pinned Start menu apps:

vivetool /enable /id:32222762,47205210

Enable New Simplified system tray with shortened time/date and hidden notification icon by default:

vivetool /enable /id:46874415

Enable New Share files from Windows Search:

vivetool /enable /id:45286411

Enable New Detach VHD button in Settings:

vivetool /enable /id:44560941

Enable New Fonts Control Panel redirected to Settings:

vivetool /enable /id:48177092

Enable New Wi-Fi password dialog with updated design:

vivetool /enable /id:40637063

You will now need to restart your computer, for the changes to take effect.

After the restart, you will be able to see all the New Features.
