Latest Windows 11 25H2 Update Removed for Causing Installation Failures (Build 26200.8116 or KB5079391)

In this article, we will talk about the Latest Windows 11 25H2 Update which was removed for Causing Installation Failures.

Recently, Microsoft released the March 2026 Features Update for Windows 11 25H2 on the Main Release, but shortly after, the Update was temporarily removed from Windows Update, because it was causing Installation Failures.

This is the Official Microsoft Statement regarding this issue:

Rollout of this update is temporarily paused due to installation error 0x80073712 

Symptom

Some devices might encounter the following error while installing this update:  

Some update files are missing or have problems. We’ll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80073712)” 

Workaround

To prevent additional impact while the issue is investigated, Microsoft has temporarily limited the availability of this update. As a result, the update temporarily might not be offered through Windows Update. 

Additional information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.

The Update can still be manually installed through the Windows Update Catalog.
