New Major Features in Windows 11 – Never Combine Taskbar, Clock with Seconds, Dark Quick Settings

In this article, we will talk about some new Features that may be coming soon in Windows 11, as they are tested by Microsoft in the latest Windows Server Build.

Microsoft hasn’t released a Build for the Dev Channel for about 2 weeks, but they have released a Windows Server 2022 Build, which has some interesting Hidden Features. The Windows Server 2022 Build is 25246, which is rumoured to be also the next Build for the Dev Channel.

Never Combine Taskbar Icons

In this Server Build, Microsoft is starting to work on the Never Combine Taskbar Icons. So far this feature doesn’t have any options for longer Icons with Title Icons, but that may be added in the future.

This is pretty much broken at the moment, but still good news that Microsoft started to work on this.

Clock with Seconds

Another requested features from Microsoft, was to introduce the Clock with Seconds as a Default Feature. In this Server Build, Microsoft implemented this as a hidden feature.

This also brings a new option in the Taskbar Settings and Taskbar Behaviours which will let you enable this features.

Dark Mode for Quick Settings

This is the most uncertain feature that we will talk about. It was somewhat leaked a few Builds ago, and we are not sure when Microsoft will implement this, as this feature is not hidden in the Server Build.

New System Tray Animation

As PhantomOcean3 on Twitter noticed, in this Server Build, we also have a new Animation for the System Tray Area.

For more info about these new features, you can watch the video below from the youtube channel.
