New Notepad App in Windows 11 with AI Integration

In this article, we will talk about the New Notepad App in Windows 11 with AI Integration.

Microsoft is starting to integrate AI in more Windows 11 Apps in 2024, and the first App on that list seems to be the Notepad App. Last year, they added the AI Integration to Apps such as Paint and Photos, with Background Removal and Generate Images Features.

Inside Notepad, the AI Part will be called Cowriter, a Feature that will allow you to change your text, for example, make it shorter or longer, change the tone or the format.

With this, Microsoft is trying to encourage users to use the Notepad App even more, for text writing purposes.

There is also a New Context Menu and an image that showcases a new Menu for this AI Features, hidden right now inside Windows 11.

More Cowriter stuff in the latest Notepad app update: a file called CowriterWaitlistDialog exists, so it looks like this will be on a waitlist when it starts rolling out (like Paint Cocreator.)

This New AI Feature inside Notepad will require a Microsoft Account and will be locked behind a waitlist when it starts to roll out.
