In this article we will talk about the latest update for the Photos App in Windows 11, which is the version 2021.21120. This is only available for now in the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program.
For those of you who don’t know, the Photos App was completely revamped in Windows 11 a while ago, but it was missing at least one piece, which was the old editor that remained unchanged.
This changes in the version 2021.21120 in the Photos App, as Microsoft is also changing the Editor.
If you want to see a first look of the New Editor vs. the Old Editor, you can see the screenshots below.
The bottom toolbox is a completely changed version of the old initial sidebar. You can now tilt pictures by a tenth of a degree, where it previous only worked an entire degree at a time.
The Cropping Tool was also changed and it now provides a whole bunch of new options.
You now have the ability to rotate both left and right and also flip the image vertically.
Other changes that we can note:
- New Zoom options
- Visual changes and removed options for the Adjustments section
- New filters
- New Mark-up option
