In this article, we will talk about the Next Windows Version, Windows 11 25H2 or Windows 12.
First of all, to clear things up, Windows 12 is 99% not happening in 2025. There were also rumours last year, but Microsoft is still working on improving Windows 11 and Windows 12 is not being released anytime soon.
The Next Windows Version will be Windows 11 25H2, which will be a New Update with New Features for Windows 11.
Windows 11 25H2 is likely to be an enablement package according to PhantomOfEarth, and it would probably take a last second change for it to be a full platform release.
This means Windows 11 25H2 won’t be a full platform release, but more likely an Update that will just change the version of Windows 11, with all the New Features coming gradually over the months as “Moment” Updates.

We will also have monthly feature drops in between to fill in the gap, there will be at least six (one for each month in the first half of 2025).
