In this article, we will talk about the New Windows 11 Updates that are expected to be released in 2023.
As you all know, since Windows 11 22H2, Microsoft started to release smaller updates in name of “Moment” Updates. These updates will be released more often than Major Releases, with the 1st Moment Update being released in October 2022.
The Moment 2 Update for Windows 11 22H2 is expected to be released somewhere in February or May 2023 and it will come with the following New Features (so far):
- Tablet Optimized Taskbar
- New System Tray
- Live File Explorer Search
- Energy Recommendations
- Task Manager Search, Theme and Updated UI
- Dropdown menu for the Touch Keyboard in Settings
These features can already be enabled in Windows 11 22H2 on the Main Release, by using Vivetool. You can check this article for the full process.
The Moment 3 Update for Windows 11 22H2 is expected to be released somewhere in May or June 2023 and it isn’t known yet what features it will contain. As a prediction, “Never combine Taskbar Icons” could be a feature in Windows 11 22H2 Moment 3 Update.
At the end of the year in September or October, we may expect another Major Update for Windows 11, which will be Windows 11 23H2 or the Windows 11 2023 Update. If not, we could see yet another Moment Update, which would be the Moment 4 Update for Windows 11 22H2.
