How to Enable New System Tray in Windows 11 25211

In this article, I will show you How to Enable New System Tray in Windows 11 25211.

Microsoft introduced a New System Tray and also the ability to rearrange icons in System Tray in Windows 11 25211. In this article, I will show you how to enable that.

You can also enable this New System Tray on the latest Build from the Beta Channel of the Windows Insider Program, which is Build 22623.730

Download ViveTool from Github

You will need to download ViveTool, which is a small app that will help us enable hidden features from Windows.

After you download ViveTool, you will need to extract the contents of the archive into the System32 location so that we can have full administrative privileges to the operating system.

Right-click on the archive and then click on Extract all. Select the System32 location and then click on Extract. You will also need to provide some administrative privileges.

After you’ve done that, you will need to open CMD as administrator and then copy and paste the following commands:

vivetool /enable /id:26008830
vivetool /enable /id:38764045

After you run both commands, you will need to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

This is how the New System Tray will look and you will notice the nice animations that you have when you pin icons or rearrange them in the area. Also you will notice that each icon has rounded corners.

If you somehow want to disable this New System Tray, you can run these 2 commands in CMD:

vivetool /disable /id:26008830
vivetool /disable /id:38764045
