In this article I will show you how to leave the Windows Insider Program in Windows 11, if you don’t want to be receiving beta builds after the official launch of Windows 11 from the 5th of October.
One thing that you have to note is that if you are enrolled in the Dev Channel from the Windows Insider Program you cannot get out from it right now, only if you completely reinstall Windows.
From the Beta and Release Preview Channel you can get out for now, but I would recommend you to do that as soon as possible, because if Microsoft launches a new version in the following weeks you won’t be able to get out from the Beta channel as well.
To get out from the Windows Insider Program just click on the Search Box, and type there Settings. In the Settings app go to Windows Update and then click on Windows Insider Program.
Here click on Stop getting preview builds and turn the setting on.
This is available for Beta and Release Preview channels. Turn this on to stop getting preview builds when the next major release of Windows launches to the public. Until then, you device will continue to get Insider builds to keep it secure. You’ll keep all your apps, drivers and settings even after you stop getting preview builds.
To get a more in depth explanation of this, you can watch the video below from the youtube channel.
