In this article, I will show you How to Install Windows 11 22H2 without a Microsoft Account, using 2 simple methods.
Starting with Windows 11 22H2, Microsoft will require users to use a Microsoft Account, this way a Local Account won’t be possible to be created by default in the Windows 11 Installer.
- Use a Dummy Email Address
When you get to this point in the Installation process, select Set up for personal use and then click on Next.
In the next step click on Sign in.
On the next page, enter this email address: no@thankyou.com, and then click on Next.
In the password field, enter anything and then click on Next.
You will receive the following message Oops, something went wrong, and then click on Next.
After this, you will be able to create a Local Account and continue the installation process.
This first method is a very simple method that you can use in the installation process, but the next method will allow you to create a custom ISO that will bypass this requirement.
2. Create a Custom ISO USB Flash Drive with Rufus
For this method, you will need 2 things: the Windows 11 ISO and the portable software Rufus.
You can download the Windows 11 22H2 ISO from this link that will redirect you to the Microsoft Website.
Rufus can be downloaded from this link. Make sure you Download the Latest Version.
Make sure to select the correct USB Flash Drive and also the ISO from the SELECT Button. You can also change the Volume label, but every other setting can be left as is.
After you click on Start, you will get this menu, where you can enable different bypasses on the ISO. Here make sure to have selected at least Remove requirement for an online Microsoft account.
The ISO will be created after you click on OK.
The installation process will be easier, and now you will be able to install Windows 11 22H2 without a Microsoft Account.
