In this article, I will show you How to Enable New Widgets Feature in Windows 11 23521 and 25926.
Microsoft is improving the Widgets by adding a New Option to Pin the Dashboard above all the other windows. In this article, I will show you how to enable this slowly rolling feature.
Thanks to PhantomOcean3 for discovering this, follow them for more hidden features!
First of all, make sure you Update all the Microsoft Store Apps, by going to Library and then clicking on Get Updates. This will automatically update the Windows Web Experience Pack, which the Widgets use for the New Features.
You will need to download ViveTool, which is a small app that will help us enable hidden features from Windows.
After you download ViveTool, you will need to extract the contents of the archive into the System32 location so that we can have full administrative privileges to the operating system.
Right-click on the archive and then click on Extract all. Select the System32 location and then click on Extract. You will also need to provide some administrative privileges.
After you’ve done that, you will need to open CMD as administrator and then copy and paste the following commands:
vivetool /enable /id:43636169
You will now need to restart your computer, for the changes to take effect.
After the restart, you should notice the New Option in the Widgets Section.
While the board is pinned, you can still close it by:
- Open the widgets board via the Widgets button on the taskbar.
- Pressing the ESC key while Widgets is in the foreground.
- Swiping on the left edge of the screen if you have a touch device.
