In this article, we will talk about a New Windows 11 Update that was leaked and that could be released in 2026 only for some Devices.
The Update in question is 26H1, which could be a New Windows 11 Update that will be released only for ARM-based PCs powered by Snapdragon X2 Elite, the next-generation chip from Qualcomm. The New Version won’t be available for existing PCs.
Windows 11 26H1 could be released as a platform support for the new chips or as a test platform for the New Copilot+ PC Devices.
Something pretty similar happened back in 2024, with Windows 11 24H2. It was initially released for Copilot+ PCs and then for everyone at the end of the year.
This New Version could also be previewed in the Insider Preview Builds, most likely the Canary Channel. The 27xxx branch from Canary could be going to Dev or become the Version 26H1.
As spotted by deskmodder.de the additional update as a workaround for Windows 10 22H2 (KB5066791) “Windows 10 20H2, 21H1, 21H2 and 22H2 KB5066791 251020_20401 Known Issue Rollback.msi” has this Windows 11 26H1 build integrated as a string.
The New Features that may be encountered in the New Version, could be mostly New AI Features, but we may also see some normal features.
