Windows 11 24H2 – New Features, New Builds and more

In this article, we will talk about more Windows 11 24H2 News, New Features, New Builds, and more.

Windows 11 26100 was released internally by Microsoft, which is a Build intended for OEMs. With this internal release, we can talk about more Windows 11 24H2 News, what are some of the New Features and what changes we will be getting in the Insider Program.

Thanks to PhantomOcean3, XenoPanther, Albacore and Zac Bowden for providing information on this topic.

New AI Explorer

  • built-in history/timeline feature
  • new natural language search
  • understand context
  • it is part of Windows 11 24H2, phase 2 Features after the April RTM Build
  • bits of this have already been seen starting in Build 26063

We also have 2 New Codenames for the AI Features:

  1. AIX is AI Experience(s), it will probably be used for general on device Copilot related Features and native (WinUI 3) UI, the package that powers the new undockable experience has/had a few mentions of AIX.
  2. A9 is AI Explorer, the new Copilot taskbar button position is referred to as such.

Build 26200 is now a thing for internal branches related to 24H2 UX/refresh development, it looks like there was a small build jump from 26100 for these – 26100 is still RTM, 262xx will probably be for Dev and development of “stage 2” (the big AI features).

Also we might see the Build 26120 in the Beta Channel, which is likely to include the stage 2 features like Dev, though in a more stable state. Additionally we might see some more Moment Updates in Windows 11.
